| Blanking and frameworks shops | FURNITURE FACTORY |
FALKE Möbel furniture models are manufactured in two versions: on ready-made frames and on in-house made frames.
In the Blanking Shop the material for furniture frames is prepared and processed.
In-house frames are made of timber and plywood. Wood chipboard is not used. This makes the frames stronger and lighter.
The frames are further shaped by cardboard and foam-rubber.
Only fully dressed timber is used, even despite the fact that many European furniture producers are not committed to it.
The Blanking Shop is equipped with all necessary pneumatic machinery manufactured in Germany which performs a full woodworking cycle.
The Shop does the sawing and facing of timber, plywood, fibreboard and cardboard by using templates. After the shop foreman has conducted a quality check, the sets of frame parts are passed to the Framework Shop for assembly. They are used to make up the frames for the following models: Raushen, Erato, Brigida, Barselona, Mirage, Ocean, Lima and Sara.
Four models – Bruxelles, Lena, Sonata and Casino – are made of oak frames supplied by the Belgium firm NV zetelgeraamten COLLEVAERT. The frames are pre-assembled, but some additional timber components are used to strengthen them. The back sides of the oak frames are usually strengthened by fibreboard.
In prospect, FALKE Möbel furniture factory is planning to set up the assembly of oak frames on its own. This is expected to take place as more advanced technologies are introduced at the Factory, allowing for assembling oak frames in Kaliningrad that would be similar in quality to those manufactured in Belgium.
FALKE Möbel launched the manufacturing of the Vento model on the basis of a metal frame produced by the Italian firm SDS. This exclusive type of frame is designed as a transformer – the elbow-rests can be transformed into a leg stool. FALKE Möbel is the only Russian company which has convinced the Italians to supply such frames. Experts regard this fact as an acknowledgement of FALKE Möbel’s craftsmanship, professionalism and stability.
