FALKE Möbel’s Production Storage Facility is a company division which has 1100 m2 of storage space.
The aim of this division is to make sure that the following two corporate operational principles of FALKE Möbel are fulfilled:
Principle 1: Ideology
In all high-quality furniture manufactured at the Factory, there is no single part which can possibly arise a customer’s doubts concerning the quality of furniture. This is because quality control begins in the warehouse where parts and components are delivered to, and ends in the same warehouse where finished products are stored, covering all stages of production.
Principle 2: Technology
The Factory’s aim is not to fill up the warehouse with stock, but to satisfy the customer. Hence finished products do not bottleneck there.
Whereas up to 300 different kinds of items can be stored in the warehouse at one time, FALKE Möbel tries to avoid stocking up and sends the delivered materials, parts and components into furniture production as soon as it can.
The objective is to make the Customer-Parts supplier-Storage of materials-Production-Storage of finished products-Customer chain more efficient.
The choice of suppliers of materials and parts has always been of paramount importance for FALKE Möbel. It is guided by the following principles:
-Professional reputation recognised and well-established on the furniture market;
-Sound quality guarantees;
-Readiness to accommodate changing preferences of buyers of FALKE Möbel furniture;
-Economic feasibility.
Storage at FALKE Möbel is designed to minimise damage and ensure the best possible conditions for materials. Warehouse inventory is computerised; mechanical means are widely used.
Since most of the raw materials and parts are delivered from Belgium, it is the Company’s Belgium partner who is responsible for gathering all the components to be shipped to Kaliningrad into one truck.
It gathers together all parts and components required for completing any particular order. All the suppliers, nevertheless, have direct contact with "FALKE Möbel".
