The Shop cuts foam-rubber into pieces of certain thickness and shape to be used for manufacturing all models of soft furniture. It also does the gluing of multi-layer cushions and their preparation for upholstering.
The Shop is equipped with a horizontal foam-rubber cutter manufactured by the German company Albrecht Baumer KG. The machine is quite expensive but guarantees a high quality of foam-rubber cutting for FALKE Möbel furniture.
The MICA MA press machine gives the layers of foam-rubber certain shape required for each particular model.
The Shop’s specialists make multi-layer foam-rubber components by using pneumatic machinery. The density of foam-rubber increases from the top layer to the bottom layer, helping to preserve the shape and keeping FALKE Möbel furniture comfortable for no less than five years, which is the standard in European furniture production.
Glued and cast pieces of shaped foam-rubber are put into special stockings made of synthetic material developed by the Dutch firm Tricover. The material’s smooth service makes putting leather covers on foam-rubber cushions easier and more accurate. In addition to simplifying the assembling, this solution also makes it faster, thus increasing labour productivity.
In Russia, only FALKE Möbel uses Tricover technology. Relatively high additional costs are compensated by a higher quality of furniture.
